Thank you for choosing our online book-renting store. Our rental policy ensures that both the customer and our store have a positive experience. Please review our rental policy carefully before placing your rental order.
 

1. Subscription & security deposit: Customers must subscribe to our store before utilizing its book renting services. Though the subscription amount is nil; however, customers need to deposit Rs. 500 as a refundable security amount. This amount will be refunded at the time of canceling the subscription provided there are no pending dues with respect to the rental period, return procedure, late returns, and book condition sections mentioned below.

2. Rental period: Customers can rent a maximum of 1 book at a time. The rental period for a book is a maximum of 7 days from the date of delivery. If the book is not returned within the rental period, a late fee of Rs. 10 per day will be levied for each additional day after the 7 days.

3. Return procedure: The customer is responsible for returning the book in the same condition as it was received. 

4. Late returns: If the book is not returned within 28 days of the rental period, the subscription will be cancelled and the security amount will be fortified.

5. Book condition: The customer is responsible for returning the book in the same condition as it was received. The book must not be damaged, marked, or highlighted. If the book is returned in a damaged condition, the customer will be charged the full price of the book.

6. Cancellations: If the customer wishes to cancel a rental order, they must do so before the order has been shipped. Once the order has been shipped, the rental period will begin and the cancellation will not be accepted.

7. Availability: Our rental inventory is subject to availability. There are chances that multiple orders for same book are placed during the time period it takes us to update the inventory on the website, which will result in book being not available to all. The customer will be notified and offered the option to wait for the book to become available or cancel the order.
